Carbon Steel Knife Care
Carbon steel is reactive. It will take on a patina with use, but don't sweat it! Along with adding unique character, patina will help protect the blade.
Keep your knife clean and dry during use, wiping often, to limit staining and rust. This is especially important when cutting acidic foods.
NEVER put your knife in the dishwasher!
When not in use, rub a small amount of food grade mineral oil on the blade.
Carbon steel knives hold an excellent edge and, with proper care, will last a lifetime.
